Meet us at the first lifeguard tower just south of the Redondo Beach pier
where the boardwalk becomes a bike path. It's literally the west end of Torrance Boulevard.

Must bring a bright color either YELLOW
or NEON PINK swim cap.
Must be able to swim 500 yards (20 laps) without stopping in a pool.
If you have never done an ocean swim, please study basics of ocean swim before
joining us by searching google like "beginner open water swim". Here is a

starter program, "Ocean 101", please check the
calendar page for the detail.
If you are more experienced swimmer, we meet at Manhattan Beach pier, 8AM,
every Sundays. We have groups swimming 1, 1.5, and 2 mile(s).

Parking Tip:
The parking on Broadway, between PCH and Catalina Ave, is free.
And it's only few blocks from where we meet.
The parking at the Veterans Park, which is just above where we swim, is
metered. Bring lots of quarters.
At the corner of PCH and Torrance Blvd., behind Wells Fargo Bank, is a large
parking lot for the bank. They don't seem to mind parking there on Sundays (Not on Saturdays!!!).
Take 405 South, exit on Inglewood Ave. Right on Inglewood to 190th (3-4
miles. Inglewood Ave becomes a narrow residential street after the 190th.)
Right on 190th, go up a hill and down the hill to the bottom, PCH. Left on
PCH, go 1 mile, then right on Torrance Blvd to the pier.
Take 405 North (From 110 North/South to 405 North), exit on Crenshaw
Blvd which takes out to the 182nd street. Left on 182nd and go 1 mile,
Left on Prairie Ave and go 2 miles, Right on Torrance Blvd to the pier.
